Upcoming Hockey Events for India: 2015

After the successful conclusion of the Hero Hockey India League 2015, India is gearing up for several upcoming hockey events slated to be held throughout the year. The first hockey event that will be held is the Women’s Hockey World League Round 2 in New Delhi. It will take place from 7th March to 15th March. India, Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Ghana, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia are the partaking countries. This will be followed by one of the most renowned hockey event of the world, the Sultan Azlan Shah Invitational Tournament. It will be held at Ipoh, Perak in Malaysia from 2nd April to 12th April. Next in line is the Hawkes Bay Cup 2015 for women slated to take place from 11th April to 19th April at Hastings in New Zealand. Players from India, China, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Korea, Argentina and USA are going to participate. The Men’s World League semi-final1 will take place further from 20th June to 5th July at Braaschaat, Belgium. England, India, Australia, Pakistan are some of the participating teams in this tournament. The 7th Women’s Junior Asia Cup is going to be held from 5th September to 13th September at Changzhou in China. After this, the 8th Men’s Junior Asia Cup will take place at Kuantan, Malaysia. It will be held from 14th November to 22nd November. The international event of hokey of 2015 will conclude with the Round 4 of Men’s Hockey World League Final that is scheduled from 28th November to 6th December in India. Coming to national events, the 22nd Nehru Champion Colleges Hockey Tournament will take place at Sivaji Stadium, New Delhi from 28th February-7th March. The Division B game of 5th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2015 will be held in Maharashtra from 16th April to 30th April. This tournament will be followed by the All India Senior Men’s Public Sector Hockey Tournament to be played in Delhi from 15th March to 21st March.
